One of the ways small businesses can obtain business online is to create mini-websites as lead generation sites. Whilst it is good for a business to have its own website you can get much faster traction using mini-websites that are keyword focused.

For example. A local computer company wanted to generate more income by attracting new business. To find out which keywords were being searched for locally we set up a small locally targeted Google Adwords campaign.

After running the campaign for a couple of weeks it was clear that the 2 dominant searches were laptop repairs Swansea and computer repair Swansea.

Having established this information we purchased 2 domain names for these keywords and set up 2 simple WordPress sites with a video , some key points in the text, and the contact details of the company.

The sites were optimized and indexed by Google with the laptoprepairsswansea.com site being indexed at the top of page 2 and the computer-repair-swansea.com site being indexed on page 9.

With a little bit of work these 2 sites will be at the top of the Google rankings and generating new business for a local company with very small set up costs.
