I pre-ordered my Nintendo 3ds black friday through Nintendo’s storied history of making the very best games available on any platform. Their first party titles consistently give you a premium experience to consumers, and I expect this to continue with the 3ds. The Nintendo 3ds comes pre-loaded with interesting software that will keep most people (gamers and non-gamers alike) entertained for many individuals hours, rendering it unnecessary to buy additional software at launch (although I recommend Street Fighter 3).

The 3d effect is a thing that must be seen to be believed (I agree considering the marketing phrase: “Seeing is believing”). The best that I can describe the effect is, it feels as though you are looking through a small window. My brother, who is not typically interested in games, played a game of Ridge Racer generating the comment, “it’s like playing on a much bigger screen.” The unique ability of the Nintendo 3ds black friday to create a sense of depth in games is really a sight to behold.

I have not experienced the headaches that others have complained of. The 3d slider is easily accessable and can adjust the depth of the 3d effect. I typically play with the slider adjusted between one-half to two-thirds of maximum effect. However, one can easily turn the effect off if he/she is experiencing headaches, and the graphics are outstanding (at least on Street Fighter 4) on a stand alone basis.

I highly recommend the nintendo 3ds black friday and suggest that anybody on the fence with reference to purchasing this new tech try it out in a non-restrictive environment. I played at a kiosk the place that the system was tethered down, forcing me to bend over and hold my head in an awkward position in order to play Pilot Wings. While I enjoyed the knowledge, it is nothing compared to having the system in one’s hand, sitting down and finding your own sweet spot (minus the neck craning I found to be inherent while playing at a kiosk). Once the first party titles like Paper Mario,Metroid, Mario,Kid Icarus, , Nintendo 3ds, Zelda, etc. come down the pipeline – Look Out!!!
