Garages are often dreary places. This may be because it is seen as the place to park the car or to throw in boxes and other assorted junk. Because the interior of most garages do not receive much natural light, it is a good idea to paint it with light colours. So it might be a good idea to paint it a lighter shade of the paint used for the exterior of the property, or even the adjacent room.
